Sports Hockey Academy Raipur bags boys title, Hockey Bilaspur becomes champion in girls category

5th Chhattisgarh Junior State Level Boys and Girls Hockey Competition

Rajnandgaon(Team Newsbuddy): The colourful closing ceremony of the 5th Chhattisgarh Junior State Level Boys and Girls Hockey Competition, conducted by Chhattisgarh Hockey and organized by District Hockey Association Rajnandgaon, was held today at the International Hockey Stadium Rajnandgaon in the presence of Madhusudan Yadav, former MP and former Mayor of Rajnandgaon, chief guest Ramesh Dakaliyya, former President, Municipal Corporation Rajnandgaon, Qutubuddin Solanki, senior hockey player, Pawan Daga, social worker Mrinal Choubey, international hockey player, and in the presence of Chhattisgarh Hockey President Firoz Ansari, Chhattisgarh Hockey General Secretary Manish Srivastava, Neelam Jain, Aasha Thomas, Shivanarayan Dhaketa, Secretary District Hockey Association Ramavatar Joshi, Ganesh Prasad Sharma, Ranvijay Pratap Singh, Gyan Chand Jain, Bhushan Sao Coordinator Organizing Committee and Organizing Secretary Anuraaj Srivastava.
On the last day of Junior Boys and Girls State Level Hockey Competition, in the match for third and fourth place played between Hockey Raigarh and Sai Rajnandgaon, Sai Rajnandgaon won the third place by defeating Sai Rajnandgaon by 9.0 goals in a one-sided match. Sai Rajnandgaon displayed a brilliant game. Anchal Patel, Sonam Rajbhare and Angel Y Das scored 1.1 goals for Sai Rajnandgaon, while Shyamali Rai and Dubi Rawat scored 3.3 goals. In the final match played in the girls category, Bilaspur defeated host Rajnandgaon by 4 goals and won the title. Hockey Bilaspur displayed aggressive game from the beginning. From Hockey Bilaspur, Janhavi Yadav, Minakshi Umre, Anjali Banjare and Madhu Sidar scored 1.1 goals each and scored 4 goals till the last moment to win the final by 4 goals. Under the 5th state level junior boys and girls hockey competition, the guests present awarded the players of Sports Hockey Academy Raipur, winner in boys category, Hockey Rajnandgaon was runner up, Hockey Dhamtari was third place and in girls category, winner Hockey Bilaspur, runner up Hockey Rajnandgaon and third place was Sai Rajnandgaon.
