Indore Shelter Home Tragedy: Show cause notice to Yugpurush Dham Ashram

Indore(Team Newsbuddy): The Yugpurush Dham Ashram in Indore received a show cause notice on Thursday following the tragic deaths of five Divyang children and the hospitalization of 30 more. The district administration has demanded a response from the ashram operators within three days.

Collector Asheesh Singh announced the formation of a high-level committee to investigate the deaths. The committee’s report revealed numerous irregularities, including the ashram’s attempt to conceal the children’s deaths and operating beyond its capacity.

Based on these alarming findings, the district administration issued the notice, warning of criminal charges if the ashram fails to respond within the stipulated time. The affected children will be relocated to government or non-government institutions for their safety, confirmed Collector Singh. The hospitalized children, exhibiting symptoms of cholera, are currently receiving treatment at Chacha Nehru Hospital.
