Central Finance Commission to visit Chhattisgarh on July 11

Raipur (Team Newsbuddy): Central Finance Commission will visit Chhattisgarh state from July 11 to July 13. A 12-member delegation led by the Commission’s Chairman, Arvind Panagariya, will arrive at the state capital, Raipur on July 11. Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai and members of the cabinet will engage in discussions with the Central Finance Commission on various issues, including the state’s financial requirements, infrastructure development, and economic progress.
Finance Minister O.P. Choudhary will provide detailed information to the Commission regarding the state’s economic, financial, and infrastructure development, and also apprise them of the specific requirements of the state. Additionally, requests for special grants for various proposed projects of different departments of the state government will be submitted to the Commission.
It is noteworthy that the 16th Central Finance Commission will provide recommendations to the Central Government for the period from 2026-27 to 2030-31 through a report expected by October 2025. The 12-member delegation led by Chairman Panagariya will include Commission members Ajay Narayan Jha, Annie George Mathew, Manoj Kumar Panda, Dr. Soumya Kanti Ghosh, and Commission Secretary Ritvik Ranjan Pandey, along with Joint Secretary Kamal Kumar Mishra, Joint Director Raghvendra Singh, and other officials.
