Rising inflation, increase in electricity rates is double blow to people: Vikas
1 min readRaipur (Team Newsbuddy): All India Congress Committee Secretary and former MLA Vikas Upadhyay recently targeted the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government in Chhattisgarh for increasing electricity rates and unannounced power cuts. He alleged that after the formation of the BJP government, problems have increased for the poor and middle class people.
Upadhyay said that along with increasing electricity rates, unannounced power cuts are also taking place, due to which the people of Chhattisgarh are troubled. The Congress government had earlier given relief to the people by implementing the electricity bill hop scheme, but now the BJP government has increased the rates despite having surplus electricity.
The Congress protested on this issue and organized a one-day dharna and demonstration in all the blocks of Chhattisgarh state. Upadhyay said that the BJP government at the center and the state is ignoring the poor and middle class people and is taking decisions only in the interest of the capitalists and the rich.
Upadhyay also said that along with the increase in the prices of mobile recharge, petrol and diesel, the prices of food items are also increasing continuously, which has further increased the difficulties of the people. The Congress party will stand with the people against every wrong decision of the BJP and will protest from the road to the House against any anti-people decision.
