2 min read

Raipur (Team Newsbuddy): Fifth-eighth board examination will start again in Chhattisgarh after 15 years to increase the quality and tighten the school education. The state government will soon give approval for this. After the implementation of the Right to Education Act, 2009 i.e. RTE, the system of board examination was abolished. There was a provision in this act that no candidate can be passed or failed.

Children should not be stopped in any class till eighth. If the children are weak, then they have to be given remedial teaching. Experts believe that this system has had an adverse effect due to lack of disciplined education in school education. The education system is fine due to remedial teaching in some private and model schools, but most of the children studying in government schools have suffered. The Directorate of Public Instruction has started working on the advice of experts to change the examination system. However, a decision has not been taken yet on passing or failing the children after taking the examination.

Earlier the District Education Officer used to conduct the examinations of class V-V. There used to be District Primary Board Examination for class V and Divisional Pre-Secondary Board Examination for class VIII. When the examinations of class V-V were conducted, there used to be no Divisional Joint Director Offices in the state. Now, with the presence of Divisional Joint Director Offices in the state, the responsibility of these examinations can be given to senior officials. According to experts, now by making arrangements for board examinations, parents and teachers will also become alert. The copies will be checked in each other’s schools.
