Durg (Team Newsbuddy): Cyber ​​fraud is increasing continuously in Durg district of Chhattisgarh. If we talk about the figures, then according to the data released by Durg Police, more than 300 people have become victims of online fraud in the last 8 months.

Retired officers are made victims: Actually, Bhilai Steel Plant is Asia’s largest steel plant in Durg. Every month some employee retires here. They also get about crores of rupees after retirement. According to the police, the thugs prepare a list of people who have retired or are about to retire from Bhilai Steel Plant. After this they make such people their victims. These retired officers are in their target.

More than 300 people are victims of fraud in 8 months: According to the police, 319 people have become victims of fraud in Durg district in the last eight months. They have also lodged a complaint in the police station. Among these, people living under Bhilai Nagar police station of the township are the most targeted by cyber fraudsters. The maximum number of fraud cases, 57, have been registered here. Whereas 46 cases have been registered in Supela police station area so far. Apart from this, 27 cases have been registered in Durg Kotwali. 22 cases have been registered in Mohan Nagar police station and 22 cases in Padmanabhpur police station
