Newly appointed 10th Governor Ramen Deka takes oath
1 min readRaipur(Team Newsbuddy) : Chhattisgarh’s newly appointed 10th Governor Ramen Deka took oath today. Chief Justice of Chhattisgarh High Court Ramesh Sinha administered the oath of office and secrecy. Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh, former Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, cabinet members, MLAs and a large number of officers and dignitaries were present in the oath ceremony.
Governor Ramen Deka visited the court of Maa Kali before taking oath. He prayed at Maa Kali temple and got the blessings of the Goddess and prayed for the happiness, prosperity and well-being of the state. During this, the newly appointed Governor’s wife Rani Deka Kakoti and other family members were also present.
Governor Ramen Deka was the state BJP president of Assam and handled many responsibilities at the national level in BJP. He was first elected MP from Mangaldoi seat of Assam in 2009. After that, he became MP twice in a row in 2014. He has also been the state president of BJP. While working in BJP, he has also handled many responsibilities at the national level. Currently, he is the National Secretary of BJP.
