India’s film festivals are not able to reach a higher level due to interference of government agencies.

Indore(Team Newsbuddy): The size of the film TV web media industry has grown a lot in the last few decades, but it is lacking substance or basic elements. Despite technical progress, the heart-touching work has reduced. Due to the lack of censorship in streaming or OTT platforms, many evils have been associated with it, it is a challenge to use this freedom of expression correctly.

These things were said by well-known actor, producer and director Anant Mahadevan in a dialogue program organized by State Press Club, Madhya Pradesh. OMG 2 director Amit Rai, filmmaker Manoj Srivastava associated with many film festivals and Indore Film School director filmmaker Kunal Srivastava were also present in this press conference.

Anant Mahadevan said that creation should come from the heart. He always made films or serials on those subjects which touched his heart. Describing Indore Film School as a good opportunity for talents aspiring to enter the film industry, he said that earlier actors had to spend a long time learning from their own experience.

Road to Sangam and the director of the famous film OMG 2 starring Pankaj Tripathi, Amit Rai said that his stories do not try to attack any religious orthodoxy but he tries to highlight the deep roots of relationships and culture in his films. He gave a tip to the new students to be honest in their relationships with family and friends so that they can support them in the struggle of the film. Secondly, if you do not get work according to your wish, then refine yourself and wait for work according to your ideology. Do not resort to lies in expressing your mind and do not lose courage. Having unwavering faith in oneself is the condition for success in this industry. Film producer and director Manoj Shrivastava, who has been the director of many film festivals, said that in India, so many government agencies and their officials are involved with IFFI that it is difficult for the country to establish its own world-class film festival. In fact, India’s film festival gets entangled in the internal tussle of government agencies. He expressed confidence that the students of Indore Film School will prove useful for the industry and make their mark in the next four to five years.

Director of Indore Film School Kunal Shrivastava said that in this institute, the students will get the skills that they would get in many years in a very short time. The scope in the state has increased due to the subsidy given by the MP government for film production in the state, but there is a shortage of trained people. Since his production house produces many films and related productions on its own, the students will get real experience of the industry along with training. He wants to do this work with the aim of promoting talents ready to enter the film industry, not with the aim of earning money.

At the beginning of the program, State Press Club, MP President Praveen Kumar Khariwal, Rachna Johri, Sonali Yadav, Ravi Chawla, Abhishek Sisodia and Pankaj Kshirsagar welcomed the guests and presented them with mementos. Cartoonist Govind Lahoti ‘Kumar’ presented caricatures made by him to all the guests. Journalist and multicultural activist Alok Bajpai left his mark by having an interesting conversation with all the film personalities in the event. Anant Mahadevan, Amit Rai and Manoj Srivastava honored Praveen Khariwal,. Alok Bajpai, Sonali Yadav and Bansi Lalwani on behalf of Indore Film School.
