ED will interrogate Anwar-Tripathi, accused of fake hologram, liquor scam, for six days

Anwar Dhebar, Arunpati Tripathi were brought here from Meerut jail on a production warrant issued by the court for questioning in connection with the new facts that came up in the investigation of this case. Six days remand has been granted by the court.
Hotel businessman Anwar Dhebar and former excise officer Arunpati Tripathi, accused of fake hologram and liquor scam in Chhattisgarh, were brought to Raipur from Meerut jail in Uttar Pradesh on a production warrant and produced in a special court on Thursday. Where ED sought seven days remand of both for questioning.
ED advocate Dr. Saurabh Pandey said that ED had registered a new ECIR in the liquor scam case in April 2024. Anwar Dhebar and Arunpati Tripathi were brought here from Meerut jail on a production warrant issued by the court for questioning in connection with the new facts that emerged in the investigation of this case. After completing the arrest proceedings of both of them in the court, police remand was sought. Six days remand was granted by the court.
Defense lawyer Amin Khan said that the court has ordered that during the remand, Anwar and Arunpati will be able to be met by their lawyers and relatives between 5 pm and 5:30 pm.
