Stampede at Baba Siddheshwar Nath temple in Bihar, 7 devotees died

Jehanabad(Team Newsbuddy): A major accident took place on the fourth Monday of Sawan here in Bihar. A stampede broke out during the Jalabhishek of Lord Shiva at Baba Siddheshwar Nath temple in Jehanabad. In this accident, 7 devotees died on the spot. While 35 devotees have been injured

How did the accident happen

According to the information, the incident is of Baba Siddheshwar Nath temple located at Vanawar in Makhdumpur, Jehanabad. Devotees had reached on Sunday itself for Jalabhishek on the fourth Monday of Sawan. A large number of devotees reached the temple to offer water at around 1 o’clock on Sunday night. The crowd had increased considerably. The devotees started pushing and shoving to offer water first. There was a stampede in no time. People started falling on each other.

7 people died, many injured

As soon as the information of the stampede was received, the team of the district administration including Jehanabad DM, SHO reached the spot. And the uncontrolled crowd was controlled. Many people died due to suffocation in this accident. It is being told that 7 people died in the stampede in the temple while 35 devotees were injured. The condition of some is critical. The death toll may increase. The injured have been admitted to Makhdumpur Hospital and Jehanabad Sadar Hospital.
