“Alcohol-free village is an example for Chhattisgarh” Dr Satyajit Sahu
2 min readRaipur (Team Newsbuddy): While addressing the villagers at Vinoba Bhave Jayanti organized in village Kochbai of Gariaband district, Dr Satyajit Sahu said that he thanked the workers of Ekta Parishad and the Gram Sabha whose tireless efforts made the village alcohol-free and forest rights claim-free. He told the villagers that Ekta Parishad and its associates are determined to take forward the struggle for social justice that Shiva, Krishna and Shri Ram have sown in our culture.
Chairman of Prayog Ashram Chhattisgarh, Sitaram Sonawani said that the founder of Ekta Parishad, P V Rajagopal Rajaji is doing a padayatra in Canada from 8th to 21st September for world peace and justice. Today, we all support him in village Kochbai of Gariaband district of Chhattisgarh. In support of the Vishwa Shanti Yatra, a symbolic yatra will be organized from three places next week to Gariaband district headquarters.
Addressing the gathering, National Convenor of Ekta Parishad Ramesh Sharma invited the villagers of the district to attend the program on the 35th anniversary of Ekta Parishad.
Dali Didi from Odisha, Secretary of Prayog Ashram Krishna Prasad Sinha, Treasurer Nirmala Didi also addressed the gathering and congratulated on Vinoba Jayanti. Friends of the service work of Ekta Parishad and team convenor of Pure Sanstha Sunil Sharma, Suraj Dubey and Advocate Santosh Thakur appreciated and participated in the procession. Maggi sister and Yuri brother of Ekta Parishad Europe participated in the program as special guests.
Sarpanch Indrani Jagat of village Kochbay welcomed all the guests. Noorani Jain, Mangalu Jagat, Kesari Sen, Chitralekha Deepi Jagat Hirondi, Jaali played an important role in organizing the program.
