Raipur (Team Newsbuddy): Prime Minister Modi on September 16 launched 6 new Vande Bharat Express trains in the country. He flagged off these trains during a program organized in Ahmedabad. Chhattisgarh also got the gift of a new Vande Bharat train from Durg to Visakhapatnam, which will bring revolutionary changes in rail traffic in the region.
Governor inaugurated it at Raipur Railway Station
On this occasion, a grand program was organized at Raipur Railway Station, in which Governor Ramen Deka attended as the chief guest. In his address, the Governor said, “Vande Bharat Express will run at an average speed of 130 kmph, covering the distance between Durg and Visakhapatnam in just 8 hours. This train will set a new benchmark in saving our time.”
Symbol of Make in India and Aatmanirbhar Bharat
The Governor described the Vande Bharat train as a symbol of the spirit of “Make in India” and “Aatmanirbhar Bharat” and said, “This train is a great example of modern technology and indigenous manufacturing. This proves that we are not only adopting advanced technology, but are also developing it in India.”
Tourism, trade, and medical sector will get a boost
The Governor also said that Vande Bharat train is not only limited to making travel fast and convenient, but it will also make a unique contribution in the field of tourism, trade, medicine, and education. This will also give a new direction to the business and cultural relations between Chhattisgarh and Andhra Pradesh.
Approval of Rs 20,000 crore for railway development
At the program, Union Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development Tokhan Sahu said that Vande Bharat Express will act as a strong bridge between Chhattisgarh and Andhra Pradesh. He informed that an amount of more than Rs 20,000 crore has been approved for railway development in Chhattisgarh.
Raipur MP expressed gratitude
Raipur MP Brijmohan Agarwal said that this train is an important gift for the residents of Chhattisgarh, Telangana and Odisha. He praised the rapid development of railways in Chhattisgarh.
