2 min readIndore(Team Newsbuddy): In line with Indore’s time-honored tradition, the city will witness spectacular processions of illuminated tableaux on the night of September 17th and 18th to celebrate Anant Chaturdashi. The district administration has completed all necessary preparations to ensure a smooth and secure event.
As in previous years, prominent tableaux from Khajrana Ganesh Temple, Indore Development Authority, Hope Textile (Bhandari Mill), Indore Municipal Corporation, Kalyan Mill, Malwa Mill, Hukumchand Mill, Swadeshi Mill, Rajkumar Mill, Sputnik Tutorial Academy, and Jai Harsiddhi Maa Seva Samiti, among others, will participate. Each institution will showcase two to three automated, beautifully lit tableaux. Traditional wrestling troupes, or akhadas, will accompany the processions, adding a cultural touch to the festivities.
District Collector Ashish Singh assured that strict security measures are in place for the event. Provisions for cleanliness, lighting, and drinking water have been made along the route. Watchtowers equipped with medical staff have been set up to monitor key locations, and ambulances will be stationed at strategic points. Continuous surveillance via CCTV cameras will ensure public safety, and anyone found intoxicated will face strict action. The police will use breath analyzers to conduct checks. The Anant Chaturdashi procession will kick off at 6 PM on Tuesday. Starting from the mill area and the DRP Line ground, the route will pass through Shram Shivir, Devi Ahilya Marg, MG Road, Krishnapura, Nandlalpura, Jawahar Marg, Narsingh Bazaar, Sitala Mata Bazaar, Gaurakund, Khajuri Bazaar, Rajwada, and then return to the respective mills.
As per the decision taken, no new welcome stages will be permitted this year. Only traditionally established stages will be allowed, pending inspection and approval by the Police Superintendent. No stage will be allowed to use more than two loudspeakers
