Indore: A young woman’s daring fashion choice at popular Indore hotspots, Chappan Market and Meghdoot Chaupati, has ignited a whirlwind of reactions on social media, making her the talk of the town. The woman, dressed in a white deep-necked bra paired with black denim, strolled through Chappan Market – a haven for food enthusiasts – on Tuesday, capturing widespread attention. In the second half of her reel, she switched to a red bralette with beige shorts at Meghdoot Chaupati, another popular spot frequented by families and people of all age groups.
The video, which quickly went viral on Instagram and X (formerly Twitter), attracted polarized opinions. While some criticized the outfit as “inappropriate” for a public place and labeled it as “obscene,” others supported her choice, defending her right to wear what she pleases. The young woman, reportedly from Vijay Nagar, Indore, titled her video “Public Reaction,” showcasing the startled expressions of passersby.
As the video continued to circulate online, it drew the attention of some local Hindu organizations, which lodged a complaint at the Vijaynagar police station, accusing the woman of spreading obscenity. In response to the backlash, she took to Instagram Live on Tuesday night, asserting her stance and stating that she is unfazed by negative comments, boldly justifying her actions and outfit choices.
