Mahakal temple incident: 2 die, 10 injured due to wall collapse in heavy rain

Ujjain (Team Newsbuddy): An old wall collapsed near Bada Ganesh temple in front of Mahakal temple . Two people died and 10 were injured in the accident. The accident happened amid heavy rain, which also caused problems in rescue. Most of the injured are those who sell worship material by setting up a shop in front of Mahakal temple.

According to the information received, the accident occurred due to the collapse of the old wall of Maharajwada School near Bada Ganesh Temple in front of Gate No. 4 of Mahakal Temple.

On receiving information about the accident, the administration, police, officials and employees of the temple management committee reached the spot and started the rescue.

The injured were taken out amid heavy rain and taken to the district hospital by ambulance. Two injured were serious, who died during treatment.

Maharajawada School shifted, facility center being built
Let us tell you that under the Shri Mahakal Temple Expansion Scheme, the old Maharajwada School has been shifted from here. Now a facility center is being built here for the convenience of the devotees.
The wall that collapsed is in a street near the Bada Ganesh Mandir. People selling pooja material set up shops here. Devotees keep coming and going there.
