Indore’s mega tax relief drive: IMC announces up to 100% waiver on property, water tax surcharges

Indore (Team Newsbuddy): Bringing relief to thousands of taxpayers, the Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC) is hosting its final National Lok Adalat of 2024 today, December 14. This special drive will offer massive waivers of up to 100% on surcharges for property tax and water tax defaulters. The event is being held at the municipal headquarters, registrar offices, and all 22 zonal offices across the city.

Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargava and Commissioner Shivam Verma have encouraged residents to utilize this once-in-a-year opportunity to settle their dues and support Indore’s development goals.
As per the press statement issued by the IMC, taxpayers will be provided 
100% surcharge waiver for dues up to ₹50,000. 50% surcharge waiver will be given for dues above ₹50,000 and up to ₹1,00,000.
Similarly, the IMC has announced 25% surcharge waiver for dues exceeding ₹1,00,000.
On water tax, 100% surcharge waiver has been announced for dues up to ₹10,000.
75% surcharge waiver will be given for dues above ₹10,000 and up to ₹50,000, while 50% surcharge waiver has been announced for dues exceeding ₹50,000.
