Indore’s Ritu Jha felicitated at International Mithila Cultural Convention

Indore (Team Newsbuddy): In a grand celebration of Maithili heritage and culture, Ritu Jha, the head of the Indore chapter of the Sakhi Bahinpa Maithilani Group, was honored for her exemplary contributions to social welfare. The prestigious International Mithila Cultural Convention, held at the iconic Lata Mangeshkar Auditorium in Mumbai, recognized her efforts with Mithila’s traditional Pagh (ceremonial headgear) and Shawl, symbolizing pride and honor in Maithili culture.

Adding to the event’s prominence, a retired senior police officer from Madhya Pradesh and Indore resident, Akhilesh Jha, was also felicitated for his outstanding service to society.

A Global Celebration of Mithila’s Rich Heritage

The convention, organized under the inspiring leadership of Arati Jha, President of the All India Sakhi Bahinpa Maithilani Group, and Manorama Maithil, head of the Mumbai chapter, attracted dignitaries, cultural enthusiasts, and Maithil personalities from across India and around the globe.

Preserving Maithili Language and Traditions

The event highlighted the group’s dedication to promoting the Maithili language, customs, festivals, and traditions globally. Speakers applauded these efforts and called upon the Maithil community worldwide to preserve their heritage and ensure its transmission to the next generation.

The performances celebrated Mithila’s artistic richness, leaving the audience spellbound.
