Indore unveils ₹1249 crore development projects

Indore(Team Newsbuddy) : Celebrated as India’s cleanest city, Indore took a giant leap in its development journey . Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for projects worth ₹1249 crore under the ‘Mukhyamantri Jan Kalyan Parv’. The event also included distributing benefits to beneficiaries of various government schemes.

While addressing the gathering, Yadav declared, “Indore has transformed into a global city. Once known for its cleanliness, it now rivals cities like Hyderabad in IT and innovation. To cement its status, we will soon host an IT summit here.” He further announced the reconstruction of the iconic Nehru Stadium and the construction of a grand new Municipal Corporation building, showcasing the city’s ambition to lead infrastructure and urban excellence.

Dr. Yadav also highlighted the transformative River Linking Project, calling it a landmark initiative to foster inter-state cooperation and drive regional development. He emphasized that these projects reflect a vision to position Indore as a model city synonymous with growth, sustainability, and innovation.

Urban Development and Housing Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya expressed confidence in Indore’s continued leadership under the Chief Minister’s visionary guidance. “Indore is already number one in cleanliness and water conservation, and now we aim to make it a leader in environmental sustainability,” he said. As part of this vision, 5.1 million trees have been planted, committed to repeat this annually for the next five years. The initiative aims to reduce the city’s temperature by up to 5 degrees Celsius, making it greener and more livable.

Vijayvargiya also addressed traffic challenges, announcing comprehensive plans to decongest the city and establish it as a benchmark in traffic management. “Our efforts will ensure that Indore continues to set an example in urban development and mobility solutions,” he added.

Key leaders, including Ministers Tulsiram Silawat, MP Shankar Lalwani, MLA Golu Shukla, and Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargava, along with other dignitaries, graced the event. These initiatives mark a significant milestone in realizing the vision of developed Madhya Pradesh and reaffirm Indore’s position as a beacon of progress and innovation.
