Madhya Pradesh’s first five star old age home in Ujjain

Ujjain (Team Newsbuddy): Old age home where helpless elderly people live. They spend their last days here after a lifetime of struggle. This is the notion people have till now. But to break this notion, Golden Old Age Resort has been built. This is the first living resort in the state to provide five star services. It has been built on 16 acres on Ujjain-Indore Road at a cost of Rs 100 crore.

The building equipped with WiFi has 24 hour food facility. 52 types of green vegetables and fruits are being grown in the resort premises itself. 150 high class rooms have been built. The design of the building is such that each room gets adequate light and air.

Apart from the arrangement of first aid for the elderly, ambulance service is also being provided. Sandesh Sharda, founder of Old Age Gold Yug Resort, said that there are many 55 plus senior citizens in the country, whose children live in USA, Canada, UK, Singapore. They have good facilities. But their parents are deprived of facilities even after spending money. Even after the son has everything, the parents are in trouble.

Sandesh told that NRIs have to face a lot of trouble to transfer property in the country. They have to run around offices. Bribes have to be given, but in this resort, one can live by paying a monthly rent of 50 thousand rupees. Each person will have to deposit 20 lakh rupees. If this amount is not available, it will be given to the nominee. If they leave the resort, the deposit amount will be returned.

Here, many types of vegetables including tomatoes, mushrooms, radish, cabbage, potatoes, ladyfinger, spinach, red spinach, beetroot, coriander are being grown using hydroponic technology, vertical farming and drip irrigation method. Similarly, a garden of fruits including papaya, guava, litchi, banana, orange and other fruits has been made. Guava and papaya have been prepared keeping in mind diabetes in the elderly.

A court yard of 14 thousand square feet has been made in the building so that the elderly do not feel lonely. There are rooms of 600 and 750 square feet. Five guest houses have been made for the family members of the elderly who come to meet them. There is also car parking.
