Chhattisgarh players shine

Lucknow (Team Newsbuddy): The three-day All India Open Karate Championship was organized in Banaras in the name of Banaras Bharat Trophy and Veerangana 02 recently. Six players from Chhattisgarh participated in this competition under the leadership of coach Harsha Sahu and the first gold medal for Chhattisgarh was won by Harshit Dewangan in the Kata event. Pratima Kumar also won the first place in the women’s category Kata in the second event of Karate, Kumite (Fight). Mahi Kishan Sahu – Bronze Medal Omkar Jalchhatri – Gold Medal Harshit Dewangan – Silver Medal Sheikh Nayab Rehman – Gold Medal – Anuj Chhedia – Gold Medal Pratima Kumar – Bronze Medal Coach Harsha Sahu said that the children performed excellently and the medals were given by Hansi Bharat Sharma , President of Karate India Organization .All the children were given medals by the President of Chhattisgarh Karate Do Association, Vijay Tiwari and B Baramaiah Naidu wished them all the best and gave them tips to perform even better in the upcoming competitions .
