Indore (Team Newsbuddy): Vishnu Vardhan , Manish Sureshkumar , Siddharth Rawat , Ishak Iqbal , Nitin Kumar Sinha of India, Yuichiro Inui , Keerthivasan Suresh , Madhvin Kamath of Japan entered the main round of the ITF World Tennis Tour M-25 ( men) $30,000 tennis tournament organized by Madhya Pradesh Tennis Association under the aegis of Indian Tennis Association and sponsored by Godrej Properties Ltd. and Yellow Diamond. The main round matches of the singles category will start on Tuesday morning. The formal inauguration will be on Wednesday at 3 pm.
In the final matches of the qualifying round of the prestigious international tennis tournament being played at Indore Tennis Club, top seeded player of the qualifying round Manish Sureshkumar of India easily defeated Rohan Mehra of India 6-4 , 6-0 to make it to the main round. Fourth seeded Olympian Vishnu Vardhan also showed his best game and defeated Sai Karthik Reddy 6-0 , 7-6 to secure his place in the main round. Second seed Siddharth Rawat defeated Pranav Karthik 6-1 , 6-3 , third seed Ishak Iqbal defeated Dheeraj Srinivasan 6-3 , 6-3 and Nitin Kumar Sinha defeated Hitesh Chauhan 6-2 , 6-3 to qualify for the main round.
In the final matches of the qualifying round, Japan’s Yuichiro Inui defeated India’s Saheb Sodhi 6-3 , 6-4 , Madhvin Kamath defeated Parth Aggarwal 6-3 , 6-0 and Kirthivasan Suresh defeated Siddhant Bhatia 3-6 , 6-1 , 6-4 to enter the main round.

Top seeded Igor Agafonov and Gregory suffer upsets
Men’s doubles matches started from Tuesday. Top seeded Grigory Lomakin of Kazakhstan and Igor Agafonov of Russia faced defeat in the first round itself. In this match of Round 16, Parikshit Somani and Dakshineshwar Suresh of India defeated 6-3 , 6-4 in an interesting match. While second seeded Prajjwal Dev and Adil Kalyanpur of India also had to face upset. In the first match of Round 16, Mathieu Erhard of France and Alastair Gray of Great Britain defeated Dev and Kalyanpur in a close contest 6-4 , 3-6, 10-6. In other matches, Chirag Duhan and Dev Javia of MP defeated 6-4 , 3-6 , 10-6. The Indian team defeated the local wild card pair of Arthav Neema and Yash Yadav 6-2 , 6-2 , Yuichiro Inui of Japan and Siddharth Rawat of India defeated the local wild card pair of Raghav Jaisinghani and Madhvin Kamath 6-1 , 6-4 , the third seeded pair of Sai Karthik Reddy and Irik Velshelboim of Ukraine defeated India’s Nitin Kumar Sinha and Manish Sureshkumar in straight sets 6-4 , 6-4 , Yuri Zhwakian of Ukraine and Aryan Lakshmanan of India defeated the wild card pair of Yash Chaarsia and Jagmeet Singh 3-6 , 7-6(4) , 10-8 after an interesting contest to enter the quarter finals. India’s Ishak Iqbal and Aryan Shah also created a big upset by defeating the fourth seeded pair of Florent Box of France and Ladislav Orlov of Ukraine in straight sets 6-3 , 6-4. Also, Uzbekistan’s Sergey Fomin and Russia’s Maxim Hukov defeated India’s Siddhant Banthian and Vishnu Vardhan to secure their place in the quarter-finals.
