Indore (Team Newsbuddy): In the ITF World Tennis Tour M- 25 ( Men) $ 30,000 tennis tournament organized by Madhya Pradesh Tennis Association under the aegis of Indian Tennis Association and sponsored by Godrej Properties Ltd. and Yellow Diamond , the top seeded players managed to reach the quarter-finals by winning easily. At the same time, qualifier Vishnu Vardhan, who caused an upset in the first round, had to be eliminated from the competition after losing in the second round.

In this prestigious international tennis tournament being played at Indore Tennis Club, top seed Mathis Ehard of France easily defeated Yuvan Nandal of India 6-2, 6-4 in straight sets in the pre-quarterfinal match and made it to the quarterfinal. Yuvan had no answer to the fast service and powerful forehand shot of Mathis.

At the same time, Great Britain’s Alistair Gray knocked out India’s Olympian Vishnu Vardhan, who had caused an upset in the first round, by defeating him 6-4, 6-3 in straight sets. In this match that lasted for 1 hour 26 minutes, Gray hit 6 aces and earned 7 break points. Vishnu could not repeat his strong performance of the first round and was eliminated from the competition after losing in the second round.

Fourth seed Florent Boks of France had no problem in defeating India’s Chirag Duhan in the pre-quarterfinals and Florent won the match 6-3, 6-2. In the match that lasted for 1 hour and 30 minutes, Florent hit 5 aces, while Chirag committed 4 double faults in the match.
The pre-quarterfinal match between Russia’s Maxim Zhulov and India’s Dakshineshwar Suresh was played in a tough manner. In the pre-quarterfinals, third seed Oliver Crawford of Great Britain faced India’s Aryan Shah but Aryan left the match midway due to fitness problems.

Indian-origin American Samir Banerjee continued his winning streak and entered the quarter-finals after a little struggle. In the pre-quarter-final match, he defeated Dev Javia 6-3, 7-6(6) in a match that lasted 1 hour and 29 minutes. Samir and Dev hit 4-4 aces. Samir showed excellent serve and volley.

Eighth seeded Russian Egor Agafonov defeated Siddharth Rawat 6-3, 4-6, 6-4 in a tough pre-quarterfinal match to secure his place in the last eight. Egor had to work hard for every point in this match that lasted for about 2 hours and 9 minutes. Siddharth played a very calm game, but Egor played very aggressively throughout the match. He also committed 12 double faults, while Siddharth committed only 6 double faults.
In another pre-quarterfinal, both Ukrainian players were face to face. In which 5th seeded Urli Zhvakian defeated Ladislav Orlov 6-3, 5-7 and 6-1. Urli won the first set and took the lead. But Orlov made a strong comeback in the second set and tied the match 1-1. Urli again made a comeback in the third set and won the match and the set to make it to the quarterfinal.

Chirag and Dev made an upset and reached the semi-finals
India’s Chirag Duhan and Dev Javia displayed a strong performance in the doubles category and entered the semi-finals by defeating the third seeded pair of Ukraine’s Eric Velshenovin and India’s Sai Karthik Reddy 6-3, 6-4. In the match that lasted for 1 hour and 8 minutes, Chirag and Dev showed excellent coordination and defeated Eric and Sai by showing better service and strong play at the net.
