Bhopal (Team Newsbuddy): On the second day of Hiralal Gaikwad Under 18 Inter Division Multiday Tournament being held at MPCA Cricket Ground in Rewa, Pratik Shukla scored his second consecutive century (102 runs) in the series with the help of 14 fours in 207 balls against Rewa. Chasing Rewa’s target of 266 runs, Bhopal’s batting again faltered. Four of its batsmen were out LBW. Ayush Awasthi scored a half-century of 50 runs.

The team did not have a good start. Pratik, who came in at the first order, fought hard this time too while handling one end and managed the innings like in the last match. But wickets kept falling at the other end, due to which no big partnership could develop. By lunch, Bhopal had lost its 5 wickets for 110 runs. Bhopal’s entire team was reduced to 235 runs in 74.4 overs. Aditya Raj Singh Tomar contributed 27 runs and bowler Yuvraj Singh contributed 15 runs. Bhopal’s fielding looked very poor. Many catches were dropped. Rewa has got a lead of 31 runs. And till the end of the day’s play on Thursday, it has scored 45 runs in 13 overs without losing any wicket. That means it has gained a lead of 76 runs.
