Ami , Ishika of Indore make strong start

Country’s international players of cue sports in city

INDORE (Team Newsbuddy): National and international level women players have entered the city for the National Billiards and Snooker Competition under the aegis of Madhya Pradesh Billiards and Snooker Association and are impressing everyone with their game. Girls’ matches are being played at Indore Tennis Club and women’s matches are being played at Madhya Pradesh Billiards Academy Nehru Stadium.

International players of Madhya Pradesh, Ami Kamani and Ishika Shah

showed a brilliant performance in the women’s category of Six Red Snooker being played at Nehru Stadium and easily entered the next round. In her first round match, the state’s senior women player Ami Kamani did not concede a single frame to Rajasthan’s Surabhi Soni and easily defeated her 3-0 and entered the second round.

The same young player Ishika Shah easily defeated Telangana’s Lisa Reddy 3-0. In other matches of women’s category, experienced Tamil Nadu player Anupama Ramachandran defeated Sumita Chaudhary of Rajasthan 3-0, Arancha Sanchez of Maharashtra defeated Dhuvyani K of Tamil Nadu 3-0, Pooja Glondia of Rajasthan defeated Shreya Parikh of Madhya Pradesh 3-0, Kirtana Pandya of Karnataka defeated Chitrakala of Tamil Nadu 3-0, Natasha Chaitanya of Karnataka defeated Anjana S of Punjab 3-0, Neena Parveen of Tamil Nadu easily defeated Priyanka Di of Assam 3-0 and qualified for the second round.

In the first round of one hour time format match of Sub Junior Billiards being played at Indore Tennis Club, L. Shruthi defeated Mokshitha B. 252-53, Charu Ladda of Madhya Pradesh defeated Mukta Varan 80-31, Jiya Sehgal defeated A. Maria 85-77, Natasha Chaitanya defeated Advika S. 184-55, Padmakshi C. defeated Vaidik Tomar 117-107, Afifah T. defeated Samridhi Dugar 62-35.
