VK Aggarwal Trophy title to Monika, Sumit

Indore. The pair of Monika Jaju and Sumit Mukherjee of Kolkata won the title of V.K. Aggarwal Mixed Pairs Trophy played under the 20th Maharaja Yashwantrao Holkar National Bridge Competition being played at Yashwant Club.

A total of 15 rounds were played in two sessions on the second day of the competition in which Kolkata pair Monica Jaju and Sumit Mukherjee won the title by scoring 60 points. The second position was secured by Asha Sharma of Delhi and Abhijit Chakraborty of Kolkata with 41.49 points. The third position was secured by Kamna Sharma of Mumbai and Pijush Kanti Borai of Kolkata with 38.89 points. The fourth position was secured by Uma Relan and Sunil Bhatia of Delhi with 35.11 points.
The winning pair was awarded Rs 60,000, the runner-up pair was awarded Rs 40,000, the pair securing the third place was awarded Rs 30,000 and the pair securing the fourth place was awarded Rs 20,000 along with an attractive trophy.
A consolation tournament was organized for the couples who could not reach the final round. In which Jason Dabriwal and Saumya Das came first. Vidya Patel and Pintu Saav got the second place. They were also given cash prizes of Rs 25000 and Rs 15000.
Vidya Patel is a resident of Raibilpura area of ​​Madhya Pradesh and has also represented the Indian team. Seeing her excellent game, the Government of India has given her posting in the Income Tax Department.

The prize distribution took place in the presence of Yashwant Club secretary Sanjay Gorani as the chief guest. Shashi Kala Agarwal, wife of VK Agarwal, presided over the function. On this occasion, Madhya Pradesh Contract Bridge Organization president Dr. Anil Vijayvargiya, Ajay Agarwal and HCL company director and international player Mrs. Kiran Nadar were specially present.
