Shruthi is again national sub-junior billiards champion

National Billiards – Snooker Competition

Indore (Team Newsbuddy): Tamil Nadu’s L. Shruthi won the title in the national sub-junior billiards competition played under the aegis of Madhya Pradesh Billiards and Snooker Association. Shruthi became the champion in Indore again after two years. She had also won the title in the competition held at Sage University two years ago.

In the first semi-final match of sub-junior girls held at Indore Tennis Club, Tamil Nadu’s Shruthi L defeated Punjab’s Jiya Sehgal in an interesting match by 186-114 points. In the second semi-final, Karnataka’s Natasha Chaitanya defeated her own state’s Afifa Tabassum of Tamil Nadu by 153-119. Shruthi faced Natasha in the final. Shruthi maintained her dominance throughout the match and defeated Shruthi by 209-116 points in a one-sided match. 17-year-old Shruthi won bronze in sub-junior billiards last year and became the winner in junior girls. In the national competition held in Indore in 2022, she was the champion in sub-junior girls and won bronze medal in snooker.

Ami, Anupama, Kirtana on top by winning two matches each

In the super round robin matches being played in the women’s category six red snooker event being played at the Madhya Pradesh Billiards Academy Nehru Stadium, apart from international player Ami Kamani of MP, Anupama R. of Tamil Nadu and Kirtana Pandyan of Karnataka are on top by winning two matches each.

Ami Kamani defeated Pooja Galondia of Rajasthan 3-0 in the first match and Neena Parveen 3-0 in the second match. Anupama R of Tamil Nadu defeated Neena Parveen of Tamil Nadu 3-1 in the first match and Pooja Galondia 3-0 in the second match.
Similarly, Kirtana Pandya of Karnataka defeated Arancha Sanchez of Maharashtra 3-1 and in the second match, Kirtana defeated Ishika Shah of MP 3-0.
Also, Arancha Sanchez of Maharashtra defeated Sumiti Dammani of West Bengal 3-0 and Ishika Shah of MP defeated Sumiti Dammani 3-2.
