1 min read

Indore(Team Newsbuddy): Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari conducted an aerial inspection of major highway projects in Indore, including the Indore-Hyderabad Corridor (NH-347BG) and key flyover constructions, aiming to improve connectivity and safety in the region.
Gadkari reviewed the Tejaji Nagar to Balwara section of NH-347BG, focusing on three tunnels—Bherughat (576 meters), Baigram (480 meters), and Choral Ghat (550 meters)—set for completion by late 2025. These tunnels are expected to eliminate accident-prone black spots and enhance connectivity to Omkareshwar, Khandwa, and Maharashtra.
At Rau Circle, he inspected the newly completed 1.22-kilometer, six-lane flyover, which has eased traffic congestion significantly. During a meeting at Indore Airport, Gadkari also reviewed progress on the MR-10 flyover, Indore Bypass upgrades, and the Western Ring Road. The bypass will be resurfaced and widened to handle growing traffic, while land acquisition for the 64-kilometer Western Ring Road is complete, with work expected to start soon.
Gadkari appreciated safety upgrades at Bakaneer Ghat, where improved road geometry has reduced accidents. He also reviewed the proposed beautification of the Narmada Bridge on the Indore-Omkareshwar route. Emphasizing timely completion, he highlighted the projects’ role in boosting connectivity, safety, and regional economic growth. #InfrastructureDevelopment
