Indore(Team Newsbuddy): Anya Patel from Gujarat defeated L. Shruthi of Tamil Nadu to win the title of the National Junior Girls Snooker Competition being played under the aegis of Madhya Pradesh Billiards and Snooker Association for the second time in a row.
Anya Patel from Gujarat faced L. Shruthi of Tamil Nadu in the final match of the Junior Girls Snooker Competition at Indore Tennis Club. After winning the first frame, Anya lost two frames in a row. After trailing 2-1, Anya played well and made a comeback and won the remaining two frames to win the title for the second time in a row. Anya won the match 3-2 (67-24, 28-60, 33-69, 70-33, 53-31). Anya was the 2023 Junior Snooker Champion, Junior Billiards runner-up in 2023, Sub-Junior Snooker runner-up in 2023, Sub-Junior Billiards runner-up in 2023, 2023 National Games Goa Snooker – Semi-finalist. At the same time, she was the Sub-Junior Snooker Champion in 2022, Sub-Junior Snooker runner-up in 2021 and Sub-Junior Snooker semi-finalist in 2019.
In the match for the third place, Jiya Sehgal of Punjab defeated Hafifa T 2-0 (57-29, 41-36).

In the second semi-final, L. Shruthi defeated Hafifa T of Tamil Nadu 2-0 (57-44, 60-25).
Women’s snooker final between Amee- Anupama
The title match of the senior women’s snooker event will be between Amee Kamini of MP and Anupama Ramachandran of Tamil Nadu. In the semi-final, Amee defeated Kirtana Pandya of Karnataka 3-2 and in the second semi-final, Anupama Ramachandran defeated Natasha Chaitanya of Karnataka 3-1.
