Anupama wins senior women snooker title by defeating Amee of Indore

Indore (Team Newsbuddy): The title of the National Senior Snooker Competition being played under the aegis of Madhya Pradesh Billiards and Snooker Association was won by Anupama Ramachandran of Tamil Nadu by defeating Amee Kamini of Indore, MP.

In the title match held at Indore Tennis Club, Anupama of Tamil Nadu showed her best game and won the title by defeating Amee Kamini of MP by 4-1. Ami could not struggle much and Anupama took the lead from the beginning and won the title.

The prize distribution was done by General Secretary of Indian Tennis Federation Anil Dhupar, President of MP Tennis Association Anil Mahajan, Secretary of Indian Billiards and Snooker Association Sunil Bajaj, Vice President Ashwini Puranik.

Anupama is the current Asian Snooker Champion, while she is the current National Silver Medalist in 6 Reds. She has also been the winner of the IBSF Under 16 World Championship 2017 in Russia. She has also won a bronze medal in the IBSF Under 16 World Championship 2018 in Russia.
She has also won silver in the IBSF U21 World Championship 2022 in Romania, silver in the IBSF U21 World Championship 2023 in Saudi Arabia, winner of the WWS U21 World Championship 2023 in Bangkok, winner of the Women’s World Cup in Bangkok 2023, silver medal in the IBSF 6 Reds Women’s World Championship in Qatar 2023, winner of the Asian Women’s Snooker Championship in Saudi Arabia 2024, runner-up in the US Open Women’s Snooker Championship.
She has won 8 national championships at the junior and sub-junior level in the national championship. Won Women’s Billiards National Championship in 2023 and Bronze Medal in National Games Goa 2023, Has won 36 State titles in Billiards and Snooker in Junior, Sub Junior and Women’s category since State Championship 2016.
