Construction of eight roads under Master Plan to begin this week
1 min readIndore(Team Newsbuddy): The Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC) has decided to commence the construction of eight roads under the Master Plan this week. This decision was taken during a review meeting chaired by Commissioner Shivam Verma at the Smart City office. The meeting was attended by Additional Commissioners Rohit Sisodia and Abhay Rajnangaonkar, Superintending Engineer D.R. Lodhi, Naresh Jaiswal, Parag Agarwal, building officials, zonal officers, and other departmental officials.
As part of the Master Plan, 23 roads have been proposed for construction in Indore. Currently, road work is underway from Bicholi Hapsi to Bhuri Tekri via Nayta Mundla.
Out of the remaining 22 roads, eight have been prioritised for the first phase of construction. These roads include Subhash Marg (Gol Mandir to Rambagh Bridge), Link Road (MR 10 to MR 12), MR 5 (Bada Bangarda to PMAY Multi), Bhamori Square to MR 10 and Rajshahi Garden to Hotel Watch, Veer Savarkar Statue to Atal Gate, Advance Academy to Ring Road, Jamjam Square to Star Square, and Ring Road (Khajrana Temple Gate to Jamjam Square).
Commissioner Verma directed that the central lines of these roads be marked this week before construction begins, and notices be issued to affected individuals wherever necessary. He emphasized that the construction must meet strict quality standards and adhere to the stipulated timeline.
The Master Plan aims to transform Indore’s traffic management and infrastructure. The construction of these roads is a significant step toward providing the city with a more efficient and robust transportation system.
