The central government is running awareness campaigns through mobile companies to make the public aware. Women need to be cautious. If they are getting calls from unknown numbers about being a beneficiary of Mahtari Vandan Yojana or for providing benefits, then instead of getting information, they should complain about the number from which the call came to the nearest police station.

Senior spokesperson of the state Congress Dhananjay Singh Thakur said that the government should explain how the data of women who applied for Mahtari Vandan Yojana got leaked? How did it reach the fraudsters? Leaking of women’s information is a serious matter; it can hamper the safety of women and their personal lives.
