Raipur Railway Division gets Satpura Shield award for over all efficiency

Bilaspur (Team Newsbuddy): South East Central Railway organized a program of Vishisht Rail Seva and Rail Seva Award in the 69th Rail Week Celebration at New Rail Auditorium, Bilaspur. General Manager of South East Central Railway, Tarun Prakash was present as the Chief Guest in this ceremony organized with tradition and full dignity. SECRO President, Meenakshi Sharma was also present on this occasion. All the department heads including the Additional General Manager of South East Central Railway, Divisional Railway Managers of all the three Railway Divisions and a large number of officers and employees were present in the program.

For the first time in India, railway was started on 16 April 1853 by running a train between Mumbai and Thane. In memory of this historic event, Rail Week is celebrated every year in all the zonal railways, workshops, units and divisions including the Ministry of Railways.

In this series, in the 69th Rail Week Celebration organized today, first of all, as per tradition, the ceremony was inaugurated by lighting the lamp by the Chief Guest Tarun Prakash. On this occasion, Deputy General Manager (Adm.) Sameer Kant Mathur welcomed all the guests and visitors and threw light on the glorious history of the railways.

On this occasion, General Manager Tarun Prakash in his address congratulated all the officers / employees of South East Central Railway for the 69th Rail Week Award Ceremony and thanked all the employees for the achievements and excellent performance of South East Central Railway.

After the address of the General Manager, 6 officers and 70 employees who performed excellent work in this ceremony were honored with the General Manager Award. Along with this, shields were distributed to all the railway divisions and departments for excellent performance. Under this, 57 excellence shields were awarded among various departments of the three railway divisions for excellent work. Also, out of the three divisions, Raipur Railway Division has been awarded the Over all Efficiency Satpura Shield for performing better on every parameter. After the prize distribution, Chief Public Relations Officer Dr. Suskar Vipul Vilasrao expressed his gratitude.
