Cement plant mishap: 5 workers die, many injured as scaffolding collapses

Panna (Team Newsbuddy). A major accident took place in JK Cement Plant located in Panna, Madhya Pradesh on Thursday morning. Roof slabs were being laid in the under-construction part of the plant, where hundreds of workers were working. Meanwhile, suddenly the scaffolding fell, killing 5 workers, while about 50 workers were injured.

Company sources said that relief and rescue work is being done. The workers are seriously injured. Police force reached the spot as soon as the incident was reported. Relief and rescue work was started. Ambulances are also on the spot, while the seriously injured workers have been referred to Katni.

In view of security, entry inside the factory has been completely stopped. Police and administration teams are engaged in removing the workers trapped in the debris.
