MP Kalaripayattu team wins medal in 38th National Games

Uttarakhand (Team Newsbuddy) : Kalaripayattu, India’s oldest martial art, was included in the 38th National Games and it was inaugurated by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and more than 10000 players participated in it. Kalaripayattu players of Madhya Pradesh created history by giving a brilliant performance in the 38th National Games. With excellent performance, they won 2 gold, 2 silver and 1 bronze medals and brought glory to the state.
Gaurav Dangi won the first gold medal in the boys’ high kick event (above 5.6 feet) category as the debut of Kalaripayattu sport in the 38th National Games and made Madhya Pradesh proud with a remarkable achievement. Harshita Shukla won the gold medal in the girls’ high kick event (below 5.6 feet). In the girls’ stick fight category, Suhani Gwal and Nafeesa Khan gave an excellent performance and won the silver medal. Govind Kankarwal won the bronze medal in the boys’ category stick fight competition and further underlined the talent and capability of Malwa Kalaripayattu Association by getting a medal for Madhya Pradesh. Along with this, Anuj Yadav, Nilesh Yadav, Arpit Patel, Sant Sharan Verma in the boys category and Priyanshi Jaiswal, Pankhuri Dubey, Payal Patidar, Kanisha Satpal, Saloni Verma, Saloni Thakur in the girls category gave excellent performances and the Madhya Pradesh team won the first runner up trophy and brought glory to Madhya Pradesh.
Malwa Kalaripayattu Association Madhya Pradesh feels proud and congratulated the medal winners and the players who performed best. General Secretary of Malwa Kalaripayattu Association Madhya Pradesh, Shri Gajendra Singh Rathore felt proud of the victory of the players and congratulated team officer Aayushi Bansal and coach Vishal Singh Solanki for their able guidance and support throughout the competition and expressed heartfelt gratitude to Sports Minister of Madhya Pradesh Government Vishwas Sarang, President of Madhya Pradesh Olympic Association Ramesh Mendola and Secretary Digvijay Singh, Sports and Youth Welfare Department Madhya Pradesh Director Ravi Gupta, Assistant Director Pradeep Sir, Vikas Kharadkar and thanked them. Anurag Pratap Singh Raghav, Yash Yadav, Himanshu Yadav, Sakshi Soni, Ashwini Pal, Jayshree Pawar, Abhishek Verma, Pankaj Dubey congratulated on this success.
