Samarth, Pranil, Diya, Harshini in finals
2 min readIndore (Team Newsbuddy): In the International World Tennis Tour Junior ITF J- 60 Grade- 4 Tennis Championship organized by Madhya Pradesh Tennis Association the title match of the boys’ category will be between top ranked Samarth Sahita and second ranked Pranil Sharma. At the same time, the final match of girls’ singles will be between first ranked Diya Ramesh and second ranked Harshini Nagaraj.
Top seeded Samarth Sahita and fifth seeded Aditya Mor were face to face in the semi-finals of the boys singles category of this prestigious international junior tennis event being played at the Indore Tennis Club. Samarth easily won the first set 6-1.
In the second set too, Samarth was ahead 4-1 when Aditya left the match due to health reasons. In this way, Aditya reached the finals, where he will face second seeded Pranil Sharma. Pranil easily defeated fourth seeded Aishwary Mehra 6-1, 6-2 in the second semi-final. Pranil displayed excellent back hand and fore hand play throughout the match, to which Aishwarya Mehra had no answer.
The title match of girls singles will be played between first and second ranked Diya Ramesh and Harshini Nagaraj. In the first semi-final, Diya defeated unseeded Parthini Mundhe 6-1, 6-3. Diya played her best game and won by breaking Parthini’s serve continuously. While in the second semi-final, Harshini defeated Prachi Malik 6-0, 6-3 and made it to the finals. While Harshini had to work hard in the quarter-finals, in the semi-finals she easily defeated Prachi in straight sets. Prachi could not win even a single game in the first set.
Tournament director Arjun Dhupar said that the final matches of singles and doubles category will be played on Saturday. The final matches of singles will be played in the morning session from 10 am while the final matches of doubles category will be played in the afternoon session from 2.30 pm. Prize distribution will take place after the finals.
