Indian women’s under-19 team wins T20 World Cup title for second time

Kuala Lumpur/New Delhi (Team Newsbuddy). The Indian women’s under-19 cricket team has won the T20 World Cup title for the second consecutive time. This tournament started in 2023 and the Indian team won in the very first edition. Then the captain of Team India was Shefali Verma. Now after two years, in the second edition of the tournament, the Indian team has become the champion for the second consecutive time under the captaincy of Nikki Prasad.

Winning the toss and batting first, South Africa’s innings was reduced to 82 runs in 20 overs. In response, Team India achieved the target by losing one wicket in 11.2 overs. This is the second time after 2023 that an ICC trophy has come home, including India’s senior and junior women’s teams. Gongadi Trisha performed all-round in the final.
