BJP state president attacks Leader of Opposition Mahant’s statement
Raipur (Team Newsbuddy): State president of Bharatiya Janata Party Kiran Singh Deo has taken a dig at the statement of Leader of Opposition Charandas Mahant in the state assembly, in which Mahant has announced to contest the next assembly elections under the leadership of former Deputy Chief Minister T.S. Singhdeo. Deo said that this statement of Mahant is a reflection of the power struggle and factional infighting going on within the Congress.
The BJP state president said that the entire ideology of Congress is corruption-centric. The resolution of Congress leaders is to commit corruption. This ideology of Congress creates Bhupesh Baghel and Ejaz Dhebar, then makes them ‘use and throw’, then looks for new Baghels and Dhebars who can loot the public. This is the ideology of Congress. The corruption ingrained in the DNA of Congress will never end, no matter who leads the Congress. Congress needs a leader who will open its new ‘ATM’ every day, Congress is not concerned about who that will be.
The people of the state had accepted the fact that during Bhupesh Baghel’s tenure, there was massive corruption in the state, scams took place, the treasury of Chhattisgarh Mata was looted, the rights of the people were snatched away. And now, when the people have distanced themselves from Congress, now Congress is also distancing itself from Baghel. In a way, Mahant has rejected Baghel’s leadership. The next assembly elections are still four years away, but even before that, Mahant has given a message to Baghel by announcing that his leadership is not accepted by the Congress. Till some time ago, there was only one slogan – Bhupesh hai, to bharosa hai; and today the Congress party itself does not have faith in him!
The BJP has been saying this repeatedly that the fight in Congress is only for power. Congress has a history of doing anything to attain power. For 5 years, the Congress people were busy in the fight for power, in the fight to loot, who can loot more? Today, Mahant has also proved that the kind of factionalism, groupism that is visible in the Congress shows that the Congress people are fighting only for power, public service is not their priority. They only loot, they want their share in the looted public wealth.
