Challengers United, Mahu Academy, SF Boys’ earn hard-fought victories

Indore (Team Newsbuddy) : In the 30th All India Moira Gold Cup Football Competition organized by Central Gymkhana Club in the memory of Prakash Sonkar and Suresh Airan, Adivasi-A, one of the strong teams of the city, had to struggle a lot to win. Challengers United, Mahu Academy and SF Boys also had to sweat for victory.

Competition coordinator Bharat Mathurawala told that interesting matches are being seen every day in this prestigious All India Football Competition sponsored by Moira Sariya , Sports and Youth Welfare Department of Madhya Pradesh and Indore Municipal Corporation at Nehru Stadium ground. The first match of the fourth day of the competition was between Adivasi-A and Youth Club Indore. Both the teams played brilliantly throughout the match. Adivasi-A, one of the strong teams of the city, won 2-1 with great difficulty. Adivasi-A started strongly and in the 10th minute, Anshu Mavi scored a beautiful field goal to give the team the lead. After this, in the 22nd minute, Akash Bhamor scored again and put the team ahead by 2-0 till half time. In the second half, Youth Club Indore made strong attacks and in the 50th minute, Panna scored a goal to increase the team’s score. Youth Club tried very hard to score the equaliser and also made many good moves, but they failed to penetrate the defence line of Adivasi-A for the second time. In this way, Adivasi-A team was successful in winning by 2-1.

In the second match, Challengers United defeated Young Indore Road Mhow by 1-0. The only goal of the match was scored by Piyush in the 19th minute. Piyush dodged two players and entered the D of Young Indore Road Mhow and put the ball in the goal post by dodging the goalkeeper.

The third match was also played in an interesting manner. A fierce game was seen between Mahu Academy and National Club Mahu. Both the teams kept attacking each other’s goal posts. But there was no success. But in the 30th minute, Parag scored a beautiful field goal on a pass from the left end and gave Mahu Academy a 1-0 win.

The fourth match was played between SF Boys and Indore Blues, in which the SF Boys team dominated and won 1-0. The only goal of the match was scored by Aryan in the 15th over. The Indore Blues team tried hard to make a comeback but failed.

During the matches on Wednesday, councilor Mridul Agarwal met the players and encouraged them. Ramesh Mulchandani , Sanjay Lunawat , Bharat Mathurawala , KK Goyal , Mahesh Dalodra , Jitendra Garg , Vishnu Bindal , Arvind Tiwari were present on this occasion. The guests were welcomed by Sanjay Vijayvargiya , Manohar Mastana , Atul Agarwal , Ramesh Khandelwal , Pawan Singhal , Paras Jain , Munesh Sonkar , Jamuna Silawat , Narayan Kharbadikar , Sheikh Hameed.
