Saranggarh-Bilaigarh (Team Newsbuddy): The skeleton of a youth missing for the last 20 days has been found in the field of Pirda village. The family is considering it as murder, while the police and the arrested accused are saying that it was a death due to electric shock. At present, the police have arrested 4 accused in the case and started investigation.
According to the information, the incident is from village Belpali, where Manoj Sahu was missing since last 5 February. The family had informed the Beladula police station, after which the police was searching for the missing youth. On the information of the informer, the police recovered a burnt male skeleton in Paravat on the field of Pirda village. The skeleton was identified as missing Manoj Sahu from the items found around the male skeleton. After questioning the people around, the police took 4 suspects into custody and interrogated them strictly, due to which the youth broke down and confessed to the crime.
According to the police, the accused had kept current flowing in the GI wire to hunt wild boar, due to which the youth got caught in it and died. To hide the evidence, the accused burnt the body in the paravat lying in the field of another village with the help of a tractor vehicle. When the body did not burn completely, it was burnt with wood the next day.
Family members raised questions on police investigation
The family members are not satisfied with the action of the police in the case. Also, they have raised questions on the investigation done by the police in the case. They say that the deceased Manoj Sahu has been murdered, he has been burnt after killing him because the current was laid in the forest and he has been burnt in the field of Pirda village. Blood has been found in the forest and in some wooden sticks. Which the police is ignoring.
The attitude of the police towards the suspects is very soft. Despite repeated statements, the lack of blood tests on the forest land and the wood is giving rise to suspicion. The family members have demanded a fair investigation and strict punishment for the culprits. Currently, the police have seized a live wire, a motorcycle and a tractor on the identification of the accused and further investigation is being carried out.
