Raipur hosts Divisional Railway Users Consultative Committee (DRUCC) meet

Raipur(Team Newsbuddy) : The meeting of Raipur Railway Division Users Consultative Committee (DRUCC) was concluded under the chairmanship of Divisional Railway Manager Shri Dayanand. In this meeting, MLA Raipur-West Rajesh Moonat and DRUCC members including Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Awadhesh Kumar Trivedi, and concerned senior officers of Raipur Division were present.

In this meeting, first of all, the Secretary of the Committee and Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Awadhesh Kumar Trivedi welcomed all the members and introduced them and told about the importance of DRUCC meeting. DRUCC meeting is a committee of members who work as a bridge between the railway administration and the passengers. In which currently 17 members are nominated from different areas, in which 14 members including MLA Rajesh Moonat were present. Representatives of Chhattisgarh Chamber of Commerce and Industries, Mahadev Ghat Vyapari Kalyan Association, Urla Industries Association, Bhartiya Kisan Sangh Chhattisgarh, Chhattisgarh Rail Upbhokta Parishad Raipur, Pragatisheel Rail Kalyan Evam Vikas Samiti, All India Consumer Protection Organization, All India Handicapped Awareness Council Raipur, representatives of Hon’ble Lok Sabha MP Raipur, Kanker, Mahasamund, Bastar and representative of Hon’ble Rajya Sabha MP participated in the meeting. The main objective of this meeting is to implement the decisions taken in the meeting as far as possible by discussing the problems of rail users and several important issues related to passenger facilities and passenger facility development and projects. Discussions were held on topics related to the interests of passengers regarding the services provided by the railways, development of these facilities and new facilities.
The Divisional Railway Manager while addressing all the members said that the suggestions received from time to time by Raipur Division Rail User Consultative Committee are very important due to which the quality improves. Passenger facilities have been continuously expanded at all stations of Raipur Railway Division. Amrit Bharat stations are being redeveloped at a progressive pace in the railway infrastructure. Efforts are being made to increase the operation of trains from Raipur, new proposals for infrastructure are being studied, all facilities are being made available in Raipur Division as per the requirement of passengers.

Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Awadhesh Kumar Trivedi thanked all the members for their valuable suggestions and thanked them for attending this meeting.
