Raipur(TEAM NEWS BUDDY).Commenting on the Union Budget 2024, State Congress Committee President and MP Deepak Baij has said that like the last 9 years, this year’s election budget has also proved to be a budget of completely false dreams, statements and hoaxes, in reality it is a common budget. No relief or real concessions of any kind have been given to the public, yet the fiscal deficit remains uncontrolled. This last budget of Modi 2.0 is the budget which is going to take the country’s economy into a trough, the middle class has also been disappointed due to not getting relief in income tax rates.

State Congress Committee President and MP Deepak Baij has said that the old lie has been served once again that there will be exemption in income tax up to Rs 7 lakh whereas the reality is that under the new tax regime in the last budget itself, only income tax within Rs 7 lakh will be exempted. Tax exemption has been given to the income earners and the basic exemption limit has not been increased. There is no provision for any deduction in the new tax regime.

State Congress President and MP Deepak Baij has said that public welfare schemes are not among the priorities of the Modi government. Fertilizer subsidy, food subsidy, MNREGA, guarantee of MSP, according to the Swaminathan Committee, there is no special provision for MSP and social security.

State Congress President and MP Deepak Baij has said that under the Modi government, tax collection has increased 3 times in 10 years by sucking the blood of the common people. The central excise on diesel was only Rs 3 54 paise per liter in 2014, which is currently Rs 19 90 paise, i.e. almost 6 times more. The Modi government at the Center has looted more than Rs 36 lakh crore from the pockets of the general public in the last 9 years only through petroleum products, sold 30 big public sector undertakings, yet the total debt burden on the country has increased from Rs 54 lakh crore to Rs 105 lakh. It became a crore. Modi government does not intend to provide any relief on diesel, petrol and LPG cylinders in this budget.
