Kawasi Lakhma again sent to EOW remand till 7 April

Raipur(Team Newsbuddy): In the Chhattisgarh liquor scam case, EOW wants to question former Excise Minister Kawasi Lakhma. Therefore, an application was filed in the special court on behalf of the State Investigation Bureau demanding a production warrant. After hearing on this, the court has sent Lakhma on remand till 7 April.
Lakhma’s lawyer Faizal Rizvi said that Lakhma’s bail plea was to be heard in the High Court on Thursday. Before this, in a planned manner, EOW applied for interrogation and the court sent it on demand. ED arrested Kawasi Lakhma on January 15. He is lodged in Raipur Central Jail since January 21.

After former minister Kawasi Lakhma’s arrest in the state’s Rs 2161 crore liquor scam, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on March 10 raided 14 locations of former CM Bhupesh Baghel and his close leaders and businessmen.
