Mumbai (Team Newsbuddy). Veteran Indian actor and film director Manoj Kumar has passed away. His patriotic films made a special place in everyone’s heart. Manoj Kumar, also known as ‘Bharat Kumar’, breathed his last at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital . The actor said goodbye to the world at the age of 87. Bollywood will always remember him for his immense contribution to Indian cinema. The demise of Padma Shri and Dadasaheb Phalke Award winner Manoj Kumar is a huge loss for Indian cinema. Manoj Kumar breathed his last at 3:30 am today due to age-related health problems. He was hospitalized for the last few weeks. The hospital management has given this information.
Honoured with Padma Shri
For his contribution to Indian cinema, Manoj Kumar was honoured with the Padma Shri in 1992 and the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 2015. Apart from his patriotic films, he has acted in many great films like ‘Hariyali Aur Raasta’, ‘Woh Kaun Thi’, ‘Himalay Ki God Mein’, ‘Do Badan’, ‘Patthar Ke Sanam’, ‘Neel Kamal’ and ‘Kranti’.
