Stop taking revengeful action against union officials by the project officers

Raipur (Team Newsbuddy): The Progressive Anganwadi Workers and Sahayika Union affiliated to the Trade Union Center of India (TUCI) hoisted the red flag o May Day at the meeting place near Abhanpur District Panchayat and paid 2 minutes of silent tribute to the immortal martyrs. After the meeting, a demonstration was held in the Abhanpur project office by raising slogans against the project officer. In the absence of the project officer, the demand letter was given to the in-charge supervisor madam. After that, a demand letter was given in the SDM office in the name of the Minister of the Union Women and Child Development Department. Addressing the gathering after paying tribute, CPI (ML) Red Star State Secretary Comrade Saura Yadav, remembering the immortal martyrs of Chicago on the occasion of May Day, said that today, 1st May is International Labour Day, today is the day to remember the struggle, sacrifice and history of the workers of Chicago all over the world. The rights that the workers had achieved by sacrificing, those rights have also been snatched away from us by this neo-fascist RSS BJP government. We have to fight unitedly against the corporate capitalist-imperialist forces. The working class has a dire need to intensify its political fight along with its economic fight, so there is a dire need for the working class to be armed with politics as well.

Today corporate capitalist, imperialist forces cannot protect the human race. Their neo-liberal policies, their hollowness, their growing crisis, their reality has been exposed before the world. Even in this difficult time, the Modi government is spreading hatred in the country in the name of caste and religion. It wants to put the burden of this current crisis on the back of the working class. The public is troubled by education, health, employment and inflation. Comrade Tuhin, convener of the Caste Eradication Movement and Kasam, said that caste oppression is still continuing, in Chhattisgarh, three Muslim youths from Uttar Pradesh were mobbed and killed in the name of cow smuggling, recently Lucknow’s 4PM TV channel was shut down for criticizing the government and FIRs were registered against university professor Madhuri Kakoti, folk singer Neha Singh Rathore and comedian Kunal Kamra for singing songs or doing comedy and they were trolled by the hateful IT cell of RSS/BJP and threatened to be killed, is this democracy? Even after the withdrawal of the three anti-people agricultural laws, the promises made to the farmers in the country have not been fulfilled yet. Suicides of farmers continue unabated, poor people are dying of hunger, the promise of Rs 15 lakh, employment to 2 crore people turned out to be a gimmick, all public institutions have been sold to two-three industrialists. The government has no concrete plan for the working class. Unemployment, corruption, inflation is rising rapidly. The fascist RSS/BJP government at the centre has changed 44 labour laws at the behest of corporates and brought in 4 labour codes to make labourers slaves of their masters.

President of the Progressive Anganwadi Workers’ Association Comrade Hema Bharti said that in a male-dominated society, women cannot get equal rights easily and oppression on women is increasing day by day. The government talks of women’s development but we women are the most mentally and physically harassed. The 30 per cent reservation bill for women has been passed in the parliament but only god knows when it will be implemented. As for the Women and Child Development Department, the work that was earlier done by government teachers is now done by us, the Anganwadi workers. The Integrated Women and Child Development Department gets more than two dozen different works of the government done by us, for which there is no fixed honorarium. No proper training is given for the new version of the app.
