Regional Training Centre, Bhilai awarded ‘Two-Star ‘Excellent’

Rating under National Standards for Civil Services Training Institutions

Raipur (Team Newsbuddy):The Regional Training Centre (RTC), Bhilai, Chhattisgarh – the first and oldest training institution of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) – has achieved a significant milestone by securing a “Two-Star ‘Excellent’” rating under the National Standards for Civil Services Training Institutions (NSCSTI). This recognition was awarded following a rigorous on-site assessment conducted by the Capacity Building Commission (CBC).

The assessment was carried out by a team of experts from the Commission led by Venkateshwara Rao, retired Additional Director General, Geological Survey of India. The evaluation process involved an in-depth review of RTC Bhilai’s performance across the eight foundational pillars of NSCSTI, including structured governance, training quality, faculty development, trainee support, digitization, and administrative efficiency.

RTC Bhilai scored 64.4 points in total, earning it a place in the “Excellent” category with a Two-Star rating, reflecting the centre’s outstanding performance and effectiveness among CISF training institutions. The institute was especially appreciated for its modern training infrastructure, smart classrooms, simulation-based training modules, tactical training facilities, digital learning, and data-driven assessment systems.

As a historic and foundational centre of CISF, RTC Bhilai continues to adapt to modern challenges while upholding high standards of discipline and professionalism. This prestigious recognition stands as a testament to the dedication, leadership, and professional excellence of the RTC Bhilai team, which continues to play a vital role in strengthening India’s internal security framework.
