Blue light, cake , mockery of law: Police action exposed in Chhattisgarh

2 min read

Ambikapur(Team Newsbuddy) : It is said that “the law is equal for everyone”, but when it comes to influential people, this equality is often put aside. A viral video that surfaced from Ambikapur(Chhattisgarh) has once again raised questions on the truth of this saying.

A government vehicle with a blue light is seen in the video. A woman sitting on the bonnet is cutting a birthday cake. The doors of the car are open and she is seen moving. This scene is not just entertainment, but has become a symbol of open violation of law and order.

Investigation revealed that this car belongs to Balrampur DSP Tashlim Arif, and the woman cutting the cake on the bonnet is none other than the DSP’s wife. When this video went viral on social media, the police started getting criticized.

When ‘Newsbuddy” raised this issue and questioned, then administration came into action. However, whatever happened in the name of action has itself become a big question. An FIR was registered, but it neither mentions the name of the DSP’s wife, nor that of any responsible officer. On the contrary, the driver of the vehicle was declared an ‘unknown’ accused and the formality was completed.

Is this “equal justice”?

If there was a common citizen in this video instead of the DSP’s wife, would the police have had the same lenient attitude? Would he also have been let off by declaring him unknown? Probably not.

This incident is not just a rule violation, but an example of discrimination and bias against the law. It shows how the power of position and identity in the system dwarfs the laws made for the common citizen.

Now the question is whether there will be a fair investigation in this case? Will the powerful continue to get protection under the guise of law? And the biggest question—is the law really equal for everyone?
