“Indore’s image will not be tampered with!”

Indore (Team Newsbuddy): Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargava has given a clear warning to those who tarnish the image of Indore through fake news and misleading posts. He clearly said that those who make incidents, videos or photos of other cities viral on social media by claiming them to be of Indore, are betraying Indore and an FIR will be lodged against them.

The mayor said that thanks to the aware citizens of Indore, who bring the right issues to the Municipal Corporation, but some people are hurting the reputation of the city by posting fake and misleading posts just for likes and views.

Giving an example, he said that recently, under the guise of Khajrana Bridge, confusion was spread by claiming the video of another city to be of Indore, as well as through fake, the incident of an auto overturning in a pit of some other city was posted as Indore, and instructions have been given to complain about it to the police.

No more warnings, direct action!

“Indore is known for its cleanliness, discipline and positivity. If anyone tries to tarnish the image of the city by deliberately posting fake videos or false information on social media, strict legal action will be taken against him,” – Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargava

For this, the social media monitoring team of the Municipal Corporation will now keep an eye on such content, and if any post is found suspicious, an FIR will be lodged immediately against the person concerned. Indore residents are appealed to check the authenticity of any video or photo before sharing it on social media. Spreading misleading information is a crime and it tarnishes the image of your city.
