RCF, CAM condemn arrest of Christian nuns

New Delhi (Team Newsbuddy): Revolutionary Cultural Forum (RCF) and the Caste Annihilation Movement (CAM) strongly condemn the arrest of two Christian nuns by the police at Durg Railway Station in Chhattisgarh. The arrest followed an unruly provocation by the saffron extremist gang Bajrang Dal, based on false allegations of religious conversion. We demand their immediate release and hold the authorities accountable for acting at the behest of an unconstitutional fascist outfit.

It is shocking that such a fascist saffron gang, active not only in Chhattisgarh but across India, continues to carry out a violent hate campaign targeting minorities—especially Muslims and Christians—with impunity. Rather than taking action against these terrorist-like acts of saffron hooliganism, the BJP-led central and state governments are actively shielding and encouraging them. The corporate-funded ‘godi’ media also glorifies these auxiliary wings of the fascist Sangh Parivar as if they are great social service organizations, instead of exposing them for the violent mobs they truly are.

If Bajrang Dal is truly concerned with protecting religion, they should speak out against the Modi government, whose far-right, anti-people policies are responsible for the acute poverty, hunger, inflation, and unemployment in the country. They should fight to ensure that the poor and hungry get nutritious meals twice a day, that 80% of the country’s working masses can access essential goods at fair prices, and that employment is created for the millions of jobless citizens—so that the people of India can live a life of dignity and peace.

But Bajrang Dal will never do this—because they function at the behest of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), the world’s largest and oldest fascist organization. The RSS seeks to impose a corporate-backed regime of a few super-rich and corrupt capitalists like Adani and Ambani, using the toxic ideology of Brahmanical-Manuwadi Hindutva, which thrives on hatred and division.

RCF and CAM appeal to all progressive and democratic organizations to unite and raise their voices in their respective regions against these hateful fascist attacks on minorities by the Sangh Parivar.
