Raja Raghuvanshi murder case to be portrayed in film ‘Honeymoon in Shillong’

Indore(Team Newsbuddy) : In a significant development in the high-profile Raja Raghuvanshi murder case from Indore, the victim’s family has announced plans to produce a film to bring the truth of this sensational case to the public. Titled Honeymoon in Shillong, the film will chronicle Raja’s life and the chilling mystery surrounding his murder.
According to Raja’s brother, Vipin Raghuvanshi, discussions with the film’s director and production team have been finalized. The script is ready, detailing Raja’s journey from his wedding to the tragic events in Shillong that led to his death. The family aims to use the film not only to tell Raja’s story but also to expose the conspiracy behind his murder, seeking justice through public awareness.
Raja Raghuvanshi, a resident of Indore, married Sonam Raghuvanshi on May 11, 2025. The couple traveled to Cherrapunji (Sohra) in Meghalaya for their honeymoon. On May 20, they arrived in Sohra, but by May 23, both had vanished from Nongriat Homestay. On June 2, 2025, Raja’s body was discovered in a deep ravine in Sohra. A postmortem confirmed murder, prompting a thorough investigation by the Meghalaya Police. Sonam was later arrested in Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh, and confessed to orchestrating the crime with accomplices Raj Kushwaha, Akash Rajput, Vishal Chauhan, and Anand Kurmi. All suspects are currently in custody in Shillong Jail.
Vipin Raghuvanshi emphasized that Honeymoon in Shillong is more than a film—it’s a battle for justice. The family believes Raja’s murder was a meticulously planned conspiracy, and they are determined to reveal the truth to the world.
