Indore (Team Newsbuddy): ‘Collective Complete Vande Mataram Singing’ program is being organized by Sanskar Bharati, Indore Mahanagar on , August 14 from 8 am. Along with school children, workers, artists and intellectuals of various organizations related to art and culture will also participate in this program to be held at Rajwada Chowk.
Sanskar Bharati Indore Mahanagar President Bageshree Joshi, Executive President Avinash Motiwale and General Secretary Piyush Sharma gave this information. He said that on this occasion, a brief lecture and drama presentation will also be given while remembering the Partition Horrors Day.
Avinash Motiwale and Piyush Sharma said that Vande Mataram is not just a general proclamation but the voice of our national consciousness. This song, composed by Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay in 1870, played a major role in awakening public consciousness during the freedom movement. Revolutionaries had made it their slogan.
The officials of Sanskar Bharati said that ‘Vande Mataram’ is a song of worship of the motherland. Some elements opposed it, saying that it was against their faith. Due to this, in 1937, Congress officially recognized only two verses of Vande Mataram to be sung. Even after independence, only two verses of this song were recognized as the national anthem. In this way, due to political and communal opposition, this song was fragmented. Our effort is that Vande Mataram reaches the new generation in its complete and original form. They should understand the importance of this song, its history and its contribution to national consciousness. With this objective, the ‘collective complete Vande Mataram singing’ program has been organized.
